BIG BIRD WATCH           

10AM-12noon
Help count our feathered friends for the RSPB Big Bird Watch with Dave Bedford. Meet at far end of Stones Manor Lane, Hartford. Bring your binoculars.   Children must be accompanied by an adult.

DOGS’ DAY OUT*

 10am-12noon
A dog walk through the woods with competitions, pet advice and doggy treats on the meadow.

DAWN CHORUS WALK         
7.00 -9.00am 
An early start for the early birds. This event will be led by Paul Kenyon Chairman of Mid Cheshire Ornithological Society.  Bring binoculars if you have some.
Meet at far end Stones Manor Lane Hartford.   Reward of fruit juice and croissants for early risers!

FOCUS ON BLUEBELLS    

10.00-12.00 noon.
This year’s photography walk will give you the opportunity to capture our beautiful bluebell woods, on camera, with tips and advice from Chris Poole.

WILD FLOWER WALK*                      

10.00 am -12.00noon
Search out  the plants and flowers in our woodland, wetland and meadow. Why not bring a picnic and enjoy the summer splendour  of the reserve.

BUGS, BEASTIES AND SENSORY STORIES* –An invertebrate whodunit!!

10.00am-12noon
 Collect evidence and discover the mystery nibblers and chompers. 
Meet at the Heron Gate at the bottom of Saxons Lane Northwich
Wheelchair and pushchair friendly. Children must be accompanied by  an adult.

 WATERY WILDLIFE*                                   

10.00am – 12.00noon 
Experience the excitement of Pond dipping and discover what’s lurking in our streams and river. We hope to spot some dragonflies and damselflies too. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

MAMMAL WEEKEND*

7.30pm BAT WALK*   Find what the bats are eating at the bat cafe and find where the bats hang out.

Bring a torch. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Discover the hidden mammals at Marshalls’ Arm.  This is an early and prompt start to minimise the captivity time.

Spookey tales in the Wintery Woods. Enjoy blood red drinks and halloween biscuits. Prize for best lantern/costume.
